Monument Valley, Socially Distant
On our trek back home from visiting southern Nevada and Utah we decided to make a stop at Monument Valley. I have been near it several times but never stopped to visit. Unfortunately this was the closest we got to it. All tribal land that we drove through was shut down due to COVID-19. We saw curfew signs all over, one grocery store open for business, and only few gas pumps offering service. I had heard the virus hit region hard but didn’t realize the extent.
