The Brooding Black Knight
I'm not one to usually name inanimate objects, but I couldn't help but see a Brooding Black Knight in his fanciful realm looking down on me. And to think I would have missed all of this if I hadn't turned around while hiking.

Dead Horse Point Panoramic
Having seen a good deal of the southwestern US I have learned the places with bleak or ominous names are more than likely places with lots of spetacular visuals and Dead Horse Point lived up to that.

We happened to visit on a day it got a surprise rainstrom.

White Pocket Before Sunrise
This panoramic was taken in the predawn light hours which made this place feel even more 'other-worldly'. At times I felt like I was on the face of Mars while exploring this enchanting landscape.

Before Sunrise in Kawuneeche Valley
We were up before dawn in search of wildlife, mainly elk and moose. which were all over the place, but well out of range of my zoom lens. Needless to say the scenery wasn't bad either.
