This beautiful flower offset the yellow of the daisy remnants was taken on the Fullerton Loop trail. I nearly stepped on this gem while taking photos of the nearby Brea Dam. You never know what you'll stumble across while you're out and about.
Taken at my parents house in Tehachapi, CA. As I was setting up the shot I was using my parents front porch light on. As I was taking test shots I was so taken by the striking contrast from the tree and the grass compared to the night sky I decided to keep the light on which helped make this striking image.
I would never consider myself a beach person even though I was born in Newport Beach and I've lived my whole life within an hour's drive of a beach, but I do have to admit there's something refreshing and soothing about a sunset on the beach. Especially in autumn when there aren't as many people.
